100618_049 - Old Saybrook Sunset #2

Imagine my surprise when I saw other photographers at the Old Saybrook Town Beach shooting the sunset. All were hand-holding their cameras; none had a tripod. After the sun set, true to form, they all went home, not wanting to stick around to shoot the afterglow. I left about an hour after the sun had set.

The image was shot with a Nikon D3x and 80-400mm f/5.6 lens, ISO 100.
