100407_016 - Laurel Ridge, Litchfield

Laurel Ridge is a unique place in the Litchfield Hills. Towards the end of April and the beginning of May, this area is covered with daffodils. In the center of this area is a pond with a small island that's also covered with daffodils. If you arrive in the morning, parts are still in shadow, but there's no one around. On the other hand, if you arrive in the afternoon, the lighting is better but it's wall-to-wall people and photographers. This is currently my home page image.

The image was shot with a Nikon D3x and 24-70/2.8 lens at ISO 100.
