071107 - New London Light

Across from Avery Point in New London there's a road that allows you to view both Ledge Light in the middle of the Thames River and New London Light on the shoreline. This was taken in late afternoon, about a half hour before sunset where the normally white lighthouse has turned a soft pink. The lighthouse is privately owned and maintained.

The image was shot with a Nikon F5 and 28-70mm f/2.8 lens on Velvia 100.
