050116 - Moon & Outer Light
Twice a year the moon rises near the Outer Light of Old Saybrook. This lighthouse
is also known as Breakwater Light. What has to take place, other than clear skies,
is the moon rising about 20 minutes before the sun sets. This allows me to get the
warm glow on the lighthouse. This image was taken on Rt. 154 in Fenwick, a section
of Old Saybrook.
The image was shot with a Nikon F4 and 500mm f/4 lens on Ektachrome Plus 100.
I spotmetered on the moon and opened up 1 stop.
