041520 - Setting Sun Sequence

To get this image I took an exposure every ten minutes with a solar filter on the lens. After the sun set I removed the solar filter and waited for sunset clouds to appear to get the final image. I got lucky. As you can see from this shot, the sun's path is a slight curve. A wider lens would have really shown the arc of the sun's path.

The image was shot with a Nikon F3 and 50mm f/1.4 lens on Ektachrome Plus 100; 14 exposures on the same frame of film.
