031227_125 - Old Saybrook Sunset #1

On Rt. 154 in Old Saybrook is the Old Saybrook Town Beach. This is my favorite place to shoot sunsets, yet every time I go there, I rarely see another photographer. This was taken the day after Christmas. Between Thanksgiving and the end of January, the sun sets on the ocean creating spectacular images. You have to hope the day you're there the wind isn't howling and the temperture is above freezing.

The image was shot with a Nikon D300 and 35-70mm f/2.8 lens at ISO 200.
